The Story BehindAce Of Africa
An independent media outlet giving a face, a name, and a story to the Africa that builds.
“Giving a Face to the Africa That Builds”
Ace Of Africa was born from a simple observation: the Africa that builds doesn't get the coverage it deserves. Thousands of entrepreneurs, researchers, artists, and engineers are changing daily life in their countries — and remain, for the most part, invisible beyond their own city.
We are not a museum, nor a directory. Ace Of Africa is a newsroom: we investigate, we verify, we tell the story. Because a teenager growing up in Kinshasa, Dakar, or Nairobi should be able to see themselves in those who succeeded before them — not only in figures from elsewhere.
What drives our mission
We Show What's Possible
Every portrait is proof: African excellence isn't an exception we celebrate once a year — it's an everyday reality, across the entire continent.
We Make Visible
Many of these journeys would never have made a traditional newspaper's front page. Here, they do — regardless of country, language, or the size of their community.
We Change One Trajectory at a Time
A high schooler in Abidjan who discovers the journey of an Ivorian aerospace engineer no longer sees the same limits on their own future. That's the real measure of our work.
How we select builders
Discovery
Profiles can be submitted by the community or identified by our team. Any entrepreneur, creator, innovator, or African leader who has genuinely changed things around them can be submitted.
Verification
We verify information and assess the real impact of each journey. Our team ensures every profile is authentic, relevant, and inspiring.
In the Spotlight
Selected profiles are enriched, translated into two languages, and published to be read, shared, and cited across the African community — on the continent and in the diaspora.
Becoming the World's Reference for the African Story
We don't just want to publish profiles. We want that, ten years from now, when someone asks who is building Africa, the first answer is: Ace Of Africa.
Four verbs sum up what we build, every day, for African builders around the world:
“I grew up admiring extraordinary African builders that no one around me could name. Ace Of Africa was born from that simple frustration: why do we always have to look for our role models elsewhere? This outlet is my answer to invisibility. It belongs to no single country — it belongs to all of Africa, and to its diaspora.”
— Founder of Ace Of Africa
